Classic multi-purpose SUL power models can handle the entire range of lures: from tiny spoons and wobblers to weightless jig heads with soft plastic lures. Slightly more powerful models, such as the Ultralight and Light -class, work well with the spoons of most popular weights for trout fishing. This includes that are heavy enough for long-range Area fishing. Specialized rods with a Solid Tip have enhanced visual sensitivity.
